Biography George Crum was born on July 15, 1824 in New York. He invented, on accident potato chips. Some of the skills he has is cooking. He then died on July 22, 1914 around the age 90.

Invention George Crum is known for inventing the potato chip. He invented the potato chip one day when a customer was complaining the french fries were too thick. So, he went back and sliced them thinner. The customer still complained they were too thick, so George cut them paper thin. Then the customer loved it. That was when the potato chip was made.
