Lessons learnt Deeper analysis presently on-going (will be publicly available) Preliminary analysis outcomes show that main differences from the analysis of the data related to the two flight trials campaign (Çanakkale and Perugia) are due to evident differences of EGNOS performances in the two airports METIS flight trials in Turkey are naturally proof-of-concept However they allowed to: Demonstrate EGNOS benefits for APV/LPV Easy adoption of the technology (on-ground receiver, procedures, flight operations, etc.) Implement some enablers (training, procedures, awareness) By the way, flight trials in Turkey confirmed the necessity of EGNOS service coverage extension on the entire MEDA region, as primary enabler METIS Workshop Benefits of EGNOS in Civil Aviation, Istanbul 18 November 2009
