PM2.5 Status - TEA-21 (Group 1 = 1999-2001 data, Group 2 = 2000-2002 data) Due Date for Regional Haze SIP Group 1 Attainment 2005 Group 2 Attainment 2006 Group 1 Nonattainment 2007 Group 2 Nonattainment 2008 State Regional Haze Plan Deadlines Based on Current TEA-21 Provisions and Potential PM2.5 Designations on C/MSA Basis Assumes Group 1 areas designated in 2004, Group 2 areas in 2005 For this analysis, counties without a PM2.5 monitor are considered “attainment.” Nonattainment areas are based on metropolitan area boundaries per existing EPA guidance.
