Preparing for Change Psalm 85:13  Righteousness will go before Him, and shall make His footsteps our pathway.  Lesson 3 2nd Quarter, 2019

1Cor. 10:1,6,7,8,9,10 and 11 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.  Neither be ye idolaters, Neither let us commit fornication, Neither let us tempt Christ, Neither murmur ye, Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.  Sunday

Ananias and Sapphira-don’t lie to God

Love rejoices in the truth 1Co 13:8  Love never fails. Love rejoices in the truth 1Co 13:2  And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.  Gal 5:22  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,  Gal 5:23  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.  Monday

Tuesday Luke 1:6  And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

Let my mouth be filled with Your praise And with Your glory all Psalm 71:8-9,19  Let my mouth be filled with Your praise And with Your glory all the day.  Do not cast me off in the time of old age; Do not forsake me when my strength fails. You shall increase my greatness, And comfort me on every side.  I claim the promise of 2 Timothy 1:7 Wednesday For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

‘Preparing for death.’ Thursday Psalm 23:4, 6  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

That’s why verse 6 finishes with house of the LORD for ever.’ In the times of King David, if you were a guest and your host gave you a cup of water half full, it meant it was time for you to leave. If your host was happy for you to stay longer, he would give you a full cup of water. In Psalm 23:5 lp ‘… my cup runneth over.’ would mean your host wants you to stay forever. That’s why verse 6 finishes with ‘and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.’
