Group Members Erika Bowen Jordan Hayes Emanuel Rollins Jeff Hickman

Project Overview Dominoes are released which trigger the golf ball to begin rolling down the ramp Golf ball hits the block of wood Block of wood falls on scissors causing them to cut the string The weight attached to the string falls

Energies Used Conservation of translational energy Conservation of momentum Projectile motion Center of mass mgh = ½ mv2 M1v1+ m2v2 = m1v1’ + m2v2’

Design Issues The sustainability of the cardboard and duct tape The block of wood hitting the scissors at the right spot consistently

Conclusion We were able to transform what we had learned throughout the semester into a project. The project was challenging and time consuming but also allowed us to use our creativity. We also learned to work as a team.
