Main parts in this canto Eighth circle Eighth Pouch People that is found in this Pouch: people that used their power and their intellect for evil Fraudulent counselors are clothed in flames that burn them Virgil explains to Dante that each flame contains a sinner, but it is hidden from view by the fire surrounding Ulysses and Diomedes are found in this circle

Ulysses explain to Dante the story of his death and the reason why he is in that pouch Ulysses sailed for 5 months beyond Hercules pillars when a storm broke and sunk his ship 3 evil deeds is the reason why he was in that pouch: the ambush of the Trojan horse, weeping of Deidamia and theft of Pallas Athena’s statue at the Palladium
