Why is it important? Because if the reader doesn’t like your cover letter, he or she will never read your resume

When is it needed? Answering a newspaper ad Mailing a resume to a prospective employer Responding to an employer’s request for an application letter

Why is it like a hand shake? Because it is probably the first time you and the reader have made contact with each other There is no 2nd chance to make a good 1st impression The reader will either like you right away and want to read your resume or not

Well written Content Looks Spelling Grammar

Tips Should be written to the person who has the ability to hire you. If unknown call and ask Make sure spelled correctly Keep it short and to the point
