Grant and organization distributions HOK receives all donations from venue/concession companies and allocates credits to individual volunteers based on event participation and event location leadership For individual HOK volunteers, grants can be in the form of direct payments to organization for qualified activities/qualified expenses or reimbursements for all qualified expenses paid (with adequate proof of payment) For qualified organizations, regular distributions will be made (monthly, unless event participation is more sporadic) from HOK to the qualified organization for their own record- keeping/management/allocation

Fundraising possibilities For all venues, the contract between the Concessions Management company (e.g., Aramark, Delaware North, Levy)I includes some types of minimums and a commission calculation, where the organization is paid the higher of the two Between all of the various venues, volunteers have a lot of flexibility for what shifts may work for them (e.g., weekends, weekday days, etc.) More volunteers = more opportunities! As we have a larger pool of volunteers with more flexibility, HOK can take on additional locations, larger locations, or more dates to provide even more opportunities for fundraising

Fundraising possibilities (cont’d) When paid the minimum donation, a rough estimate of the hourly credit per volunteer equates to about $10-$12 per hour, depending upon the venue When we are busier, donations will be higher as we reach commission status; busier events in recent months have yielded $150 - $200+ per volunteer, with a typical “shift” lasting 5-8 hours (depends upon event, venue, etc.) When we achieve commission for a particular event, we also attempt to credit stand leads with additional donations, as they are typically at events at least two hours longer than event staff; venues may also increase minimums for specific events if they are struggling to get adequate staff

What to expect on event day We will typically arrive 1-2 hours prior to the doors being opened to fans in order to get locations set up, prepare product, etc. You will be on your feet for the duration of the shift, as we are usually busy at most events As the stand location closes, volunteers will help with clean-up and closing inventory to leave the location in good order for the next event or next group Certain events can be faster-paced than others, which also depends upon the stand location and product we are selling

Other notes All communication with venues should only be done by HOK; venues are dealing with many other non-profits, so individuals or qualified organization should NOT be communicating directly with venue staff HOK reserves the right to cease partnership with any qualified organizations who do not adhere to requirements or volunteers who breach any rules, regulations and expectations of HOK or venue management
