Get a Bell Ringer and a study guide from the front table and write your information at the top. Do NOT forget to put your name and number on your paper. Bell Ringer – Using the language of the question, write the answer to the following question. Why is it significant to the plot and conflict that the American is a naturalist, or scientist who studies nature? .

November 12, 2018 Why is it significant to the plot and conflict that the American is a naturalist, or scientist who studies nature? . The fact that the American is a naturalist is significant to the plot because he studies nature and animals and is familiar with animals’ behavior. When the servant placed the bowl of milk outside, he knew (because of his background) that it was to bait a snake. With this knowledge, he is able to cautiously direct the conversation to a “game” where everyone at the table must sit silently and still or forfeit money. By doing this, he keeps the guests safe until the snake leaves for the milk.

November 13, 2018 Follow Procedures for books and the agenda. Write your assignment in the agenda – quiz tomorrow. Get out your study guide and bell ringer. Bell Ringer – Using the language of the question, write the answer to the following question. Reread the colonel’s statement about women (lines 7-9). What does this statement tell you about the colonel? .

Answer Example The colonel’s statement about women shows that the colonel is close-minded and opinionated because he refuses to see women as individuals. He also is a bit sexist because he favors men over women and believes that men are capable of more self-control than women.

November 14, 2018 Follow Procedures for books and the agenda. No Bell Ringer Get a answer document and fill it out. The subject is Q2Q2. Make sure to put your roster number on it. When you are finished, highlight your answers. Turn both in on the front table. Put them in numerical order. You may read when you are done.
