Site visit #1 Kingdom hall -Jehovah’s witnesses We visited the JW church with expectations of: Being preached at Evangelical talk and preaching Long boring sermons

What actually happened They were all very friendly! They helped us know what was going to happen and what to expect. They did provide us with their readings “The watchtower” so we could follow along in the discussion.

Site visit #2 salt lake buddhist temple Why this location? We felt like it would be interesting to learn more about the Buddhist religion and their practices. Address: 211 W 100 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84101 Time and date of visit: 10/21/18 at 10:00 AM

About this location services The sect is called Jodo Shinshu Honganji Ha, or Nishi Honganji. Their Mother Temple and International Headquarters is located in Kyoto, Japan. They are also affiliated with the Buddhist Churches of America (B.C.A.) To follow the Nembutsu path is to live a life of gratitude for Amida Buddha's infinite wisdom and compassion. The Temple is here to help us understand how we may express appreciation for the wondrous gift of Shinjin bestowed upon us. services Services are generally held each Sunday at 10:00 am.

We are grateful for the religious diversity in our country and in our lives. With diversity comes understanding and with understanding comes peace.
