Prodcom list

Do we need a separate Prodcom list? Yes: It is fit for purpose Not all respondents are familiar with other classification like CN What would be the alternative? Also user needs have to be considered No: Too detailed Respondents would benefit of just one classification (CN?) Respondents are familiar with CN

How detailed this list should be? The list is a compromise: it is a minimum standard which allows each MS to report its own specificities (national aspects) Should be simplified: there are areas which are too detailed CPA could be sufficient level Problems with confidentiality: issue for smaller MS

Can we have a Prodcom list which is stable over a larger period of time? Stability preferred in general Dependency on CN annual changes Often only few changes in Prodcom list => should the changes in CN be incorporated in Prodcom list also annually? Can they be done every 2 or 3 years? Limited impact: only few respondents affected by annual changes of Prodcom More stability can be gained only if CPA and/or HS change triggers the revision of Prodcom list (~ every 5 years)

Can the consistency with the CN/CPA be improved? Consistency is desirable Not clear how to achieve it General issue of consistency in classifications: cannot be solved by Prodcom only

Which tools and information can facilitate for enterprises the process of reporting? Key words Search tools Pre-filled questionnaires Reference tables Alphabetical index
