Why is the Sun so Important to Plants?

Sunlight is Earth’s primary source of energy, and without it Earth would be unable to sustain life. The Earth’s atmosphere reduces the power of the sun’s energy which is the reason why life isn’t hurt from the suns powerful rays.

So why do plants need the sun?

Plants need the sunlight because it gives off electromagnetic radiation, which is transformed by the plant into simple carbohydrates or energy. This process is called Photosynthesis The three main substances needed for this process to work are? *hint use the diagram Sunlight CO2 Water

At the end of photosynthesis one of the waste products created by the plant is oxygen. This is crucial to humans because we need oxygen to breath. So together with plants we have created a system where we need each other to survive.
