THE WONDER OF JESUS LUKE 2:18-19

“And all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds told them “And all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds told them. But Mary treasured up all these things, and pondered them in her heart.” LUKE 2:18-19

Wonder, marvel, amaze, astonishment. “Wonderment at the mysteries of Christ’s words and works is one of the threads that runs through Luke’s Gospel.” People often respond by praising or blessing God. Wonder, marvel, amaze, astonishment.

“The child’s father and his mother marveled at what was said about him Simeon’s pronouncement of the child to be a light to the Gentiles and glory to Israel. Luke 2:33

“Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers. When his parents saw him, they were astonished.” When he was 12 at the temple in Jerusalem. Luke 2:47-48
