Presentation transcript:

AICE Media Studies Critical Reflection Rhyan Ajith 6102 period 2

For the most part, no conventions were very challenged from their common use in film. Below, it shows how we reverse zoom to show more of the nature filled background and zoom to see a particular part on the tree more clearly.

The screenshots below are used to symbolically show that life passes by fast when you are young. On the left screenshot he walks past the fountain quickly to show something amazing he hastefully passes while pursuing something when he’s young. The pan we use in the shot from the right symbolically shows how that stage of his life passes quickly like the pan itself.

The audience we targeted in this music video are teenagers and young adults who are also young lovers and foolish individuals that need to enjoy life at the moment and not go right past it or else you will miss what is really important like making friends and finding the people you love. As a real media text, it would be right where it is on Youtube but under some kind of licensing to protect me and my group members from people taking the video without giving us rights.

Throughout this project, I learned how to film with a more advanced camera compared to my phone. I also learned how to use editing software and apply effects like slow motion and double bars to create a more cinematic effect. The camera we used was a Canon Rebel T6i and the editing software we used was Adobe Premier Pro. When we were done we uploaded it to Youtube.
