Presentation transcript:

Chapter 6 Infographic An infographic is a graphic representation illustrating connections, movement, and events. It can include arrows, symbols, illustrations, lines, etc. It’s a little like a cross between a timeline and a comic strip. Create an infographic that explains the symbols of chapter 6. Requirements: Write down the following symbols from the next slide. Under the symbol, write out the quote provided. YOU explain what this quote is telling us the symbol represent. “This symbol clearly represents ____ which can be seen as ____.” Complete this independently DO NOT USE PENCIL. Use pen or marker, and make sure your writing is legible. MAKE SURE TO EXPLAIN!!

Symbols/Quotes Dan Cody – “A few days later he took him down to Duluth and bought him a blue coat, six pairs of trousers, and a yachting cap” (100). Ella Kaye – “He never understood the legal device that was used against him, but what remained of the millions went in tact to Ella Kaye” (100). Gatsby’s parties – “’She didn’t like it,’ he said immediately. ‘Of course she did.’ ‘She didn’t like it,’ he insisted, ‘she didn’t have a good time’” (109). Rumors  “’Where’s you hear that?’ ‘I didn’t hear it. I imagined it. A lot of these newly rich people are just bootleggers, you know.’ ‘Not Gatsby,’ I said shortly” (107). Daisy  “’I wouldn’t aske too much of her,’ I ventured, ‘You can’t repeat the past.’ ‘Can’t repeat the past?’ he cried incredulously, ‘Why of course you can!’” (110).
