The reason why AC is of interest The examples are really numerous The range of experience is particularly vary They are aimed to meet general interests Citizens are spontaneously active but they are not only volunteers They design new ways of governance The blurring distinction between what is formal and what is informal

The ongoing seminar Students are welcomed to attend the seminar «Care of city and democratic citizenship» Xavier Basurto, a well-known expert of common goods and Visiting Professor, kicks off the Seminar by telling his experience with fisher communities in Mexico Five theoretical lectures were turned to students in order to give them a multi-disciplinary framework Five CA experiences in Rome were selected Five expert witnesses of them present themselves to the students

The ongoing seminar Students are divided in five groups with the aim to scope the five CA experiences on the grounds of theoretical keys Investigations on field by the students Shared feedback with the other students Collection of the data and analysis in a final book

Synthesis Starting with traditional research Book The need of putting in connection CA with the city and research Seminar with students and citizens Establishment of Laboratory on the civic citizenship

Other objectives The establishment of civic and scientific office open to citizens with the participation of students (example of academic clinic) Establishment of the new level of didactics
