Welcome to English I Pre-AP! Mr. Feudo – Room 4110 – 2012-2013

Warm-Up #1 As I call roll, respond to the following question in several well-organized sentences, and be prepared to discuss. What makes something “literature”? What exactly IS literature, and why do we study it?

Class Expectations Be respectful. Be prepared for class. Participate actively and think. If you don’t know, find out. Abide by all school and district and policies.

Beginning of the Period Pick up the day’s handouts from the front table. Place any homework that is due on the upper right hand corner of your desk. Take out your English binder and materials, and complete the day’s warm-up.

Going to the Restroom Restroom passes are not given. Use your passing periods wisely. In the event of an emergency, quietly take the pass, fill it out, and exit the room, leaving the door slightly ajar. Rule of Thumb: Do not ask to go to the restroom unless you have an emergency during a quiz or test.

End of the Period DO NOT pack up until I give permission to do so. Check around your desk to ensure that you have all of your belongings and that there is no trash on the floor. You must remain in a desk until you are dismissed. DO NOT leave when the bell rings; wait for me to dismiss you.
