ANCIENT GREECE BY-LEIF

WHY WE STUDY ANCIENT GREECE We study Ancient Greece because they made many contributions to our modern world. First thing you need to know is they invented the Olympics which are held every four years in different countries as a peace bringing event. Second, they invented columns that strengthen our buildings today. This Photo by Unknown author is licensed under CC BY-SA.

RESOURCES OLIVES It along with wheat ,figs ,and grapes it is one of the few plants that can grow in the hilly/mountainy terrain of Greece so their-for it is very important to them. SHIP They could not grow many crops in Greece so the ship could be used as a trading mechanism or for carrying things that are used for trading. Merchant/trader As I said earlier, they could not grow many crops in ancient Greece so, it was very important to have trade.     This Photo by Unknown author is licensed under CC BY-SA.
