Draft 2 sample To: susansample@gmail.com Subject: A memorable experience at the Soka University Festival Hi Susan, Last Sunday, I attended the Soka University Festival with my friends. We went to many performances, exhibitions and ate a lot of food. It was so crowded as many visitors were on campus. In the morning, we went to watch some singing performances. The students were lively and sang many melodic songs. I love their smiles and energy. Then, we visited a few exhibitions in the classrooms in Global Square. They were creative, informative and inspiring. After that, we went to watch Taiko, a traditional drum performance. The students were serious and gave a powerful performance. I was a little nervous as I was sitting too close to the drums and it felt a little dangerous. Fortunately, no drumsticks flew towards me and I was safe. However, we were getting hungry so we went to look for food. My favorite was the milk tea flavored churros and grilled squid. They were delicious! I spent quite some time in the long queues though. In the evening, we went to watch a few dance performances. The dancers were graceful and full of energy. Their colorful costumes made their formations very interesting. They must have spent a lot of time perfecting their moves! Before going home, we went out of campus to have dinner at a restaurant nearby as the food stalls in school were already closed. Even though I was so tired, I was grateful that my friends were able to accompany me to support my students. Next year, I hope you could join me too! Best wishes, Mingying
