SUBSTITUTION ELIMINATION GRAPHING Summary of Methods Substitution: one of the variables be isolated on one side of the equation or easy to isolate when one of the variables has a coefficient of 1 or -1. Elimination: a variable appears in different equations with coefficients that are opposites or each variable has a coefficient. Graphing: when the equations are in y = mx+b, or y can easily be solved for with a whole number as the y-intercept. SUBSTITUTION ELIMINATION GRAPHING
