Referrals - Assign Referral for Past Appointment You can assign a referral for an appointment that occurred in the past Schedule the past appointment (see Lesson 6 in Advanced Scheduling). Within the past appointment window select the appointment and right click to view the drop down menu, click on “Assign Referral”

Referrals– Assign Referral for Past Appointment This will take you to the referral window, highlight the appropriate referral and click on “Assign” and Epic will automatically count down the visit against the number of visits authorized. You cannot assign a referral to a past appointment if you have collected and recorded the co-pay in Epic. You must create a manual count in this situation.
