Textiles to go through Deskjet Freezer Paper Miracle paper T-shirt transfer sheets Spray Stach PVA Glue BARTLETT KENDALL ASSOCIATES

BARTLETT KENDALL ASSOCIATES Freezer Paper One of the easiest methods of transferring images to fabric is the freezer paper method. This is how you do it, cut a piece of freezer paper the same size as your printer paper, also cut a piece of fine cotton fabric the same size and make sure there are no threads hanging to catch in your printer. Then iron the cotton fabric to the shiny side of the freezer paper and put one sheet at a time into your printer, sometimes it curls so l have a stick just to hold it back as its feeding through. You can also print text this way as well,  when it feels dry , just place a piece of parchment paper over it and iron with a hot iron setting and this will set the colours. Stockists: Rio Designs, Flint Cottage, Treacle Lane. Rushden, Buntingford, Herts., SG9 0SL Tel/Fax: 01763 288234 - e-mail: sales@riodesigns.co.uk web address: http://www.riodesigns.co.uk BARTLETT KENDALL ASSOCIATES

BARTLETT KENDALL ASSOCIATES Miracle Paper Fabric already backed on to freezer paper and can be put through inkjet printers.   Supplier: Rio designs as above. Price £13.45 inclusive of postage and VAT. BARTLETT KENDALL ASSOCIATES

BARTLETT KENDALL ASSOCIATES T- Shirt Transfers This is another easy way but it does leave a slight handle on your fabric. All you do is feed one sheet at a time through your printer and when dry , iron it back onto your fabric.   Available in all computer suppliers and stationers. Prices vary as does the quality of the paper. BARTLETT KENDALL ASSOCIATES

BARTLETT KENDALL ASSOCIATES Spray starch method This method can be used in school but the results are not wash proof. Spray polycotton with spray starch and iron dry. Do this twice. Cut fabric into A4 (or A3 if you have a A3 deskjet printer) sized sheets leaving no loose threads. Carefully put through printer. If the fabric gets caught up stick masking tape at the feed edge of the fabric to help it feed through the printer. To make the design water – resistant – sponge fabric medium onto the design and leave to dry then iron as per instructions for the medium. BARTLETT KENDALL ASSOCIATES

BARTLETT KENDALL ASSOCIATES PVA Glue You need to water down PVA glue in ration of 1 part glue to 4 parts water. Spray onto the fabric, leave to dry flat, taking care not to create creases in the fabric Cut fabric to the size of sheets the printer will take Carefully feed through printer Leave the ink to dry and then iron to set the inks.
