Diocletian-Roman Emperor who split the Empire into two administrative districts to keep it from falling apart. Persecuted Christians Theodosius- After his death the Roman Empire split into two separate Empires. Made Christianity the official religion
Causes for the Decline of the Roman Empire
Economy- The cost of defense and devaluation of Roman Currency Military- Army membership starting to include invaders, resulting in the decline of discipline
Moral Decay- People’s loss of faith in Rome and the family Political Problems- Civil conflict and weak administration Invasion- Attacks on borders by Germanic invaders
