EX/P3-47: Influence of magnetic perturbations on particle transport in magnetic fusion devices (ITPA T&C 24) L-mode H-mode The particle transport increase is accompanied by changes in toroidal rotation, radial electric field and density fluctuation level in the pedestal. Effects of RMP on core and pedestal density. Changes in transport due to stochastic effects (TEXTOR, Tore Supra, MAST, LHD) large 1/1 island (LHD) a spin-up of the toroidal rotation in the ion direction  Er profile at plasma boundary modified  turbulent transport changed very sensitive to resonant conditions: Example from MAST pump-out vs resonant field Good news for ITER: ASDEX Upgrade, MAST and LHD show that mitigated, more frequent ELMs do not enhance particle transport, i.e. do not contribute to pump-out. ASDEX Upgrade MAST Important for ITER: Pump-out correlated with pedestal collisionality/density ASDEX Upgrade ASDEX Upgrade M.Jakubowski, A.Kirk, W.Suttrop, K.Tanaka, E.Viezzer, E.Wolfrum, A.Dinklage, C.Hidalgo, S.Kaye, G.McKee, S.Moridijck, O.Schmitz, T.S.Pedersen
