This skill is something that will begin in K with very basic keyboarding on a pretend QWERTY printable keyboard. By second semester of K through first semester of 1 st, students will see pictures of the keyboard around their classrooms. From second semester 1 st grade to the end of 2 nd grade, students will be using netbooks, laptops, or other computerized devices/handhelds to access word processing programs for writing practice.
