Innovation Design approach OUR PARK IS DIFFERENT Innovation Social rehabilitation of city inmates goes through social urban transformation. Environmental actions in public parks involving local communities taking care of their own gardens will let inmates be satisfied and motivated to adopt good behaviour. Park waste differentiations give value to communities. Please insert a picture here related to your initiative/solution Design approach Design in our initiative is crucial to: Refine budgeting (average costs/hr) of rubbish bin transformation involving experts and consultants. Identify the right markets to propose this service by interviewing local stakeholders and citizens. check equity access

Relation to the urbanscape Scaling up prospects OUR PARK IS DIFFERENT Relation to the urbanscape This initiative will be useful in City context to enhance local behaviour in environmental care. Only in Milan we have more than 500 public gardens where daily maintenance and waste collection is curated by local communities. We will offer to inmates jobs consisting in adding information on waste collection and transforming waste bins into differentiated ones. Urbanscape will be mostly impacted by the co-design phase engaging local community members in taking care of their own gardens. Scaling up prospects Project is easily scalable if we are looking to find out corporate funds as many little public gardens are. We prefer to play the role of an intermediary between local communities and the corporate funding world in order to facilitate the transformation process keeping donor brands and project communication under control. The key factor of the project is paying the inmates as a way to help them and assess the status of their rehabilitation.
