Student feedback Blackboard statistics tracking Student feedback Jigsaws : 117 views between (and including) 3rd December – 3rd January (37 individual students) Crossword puzzles : 126 views between (and including) 3rd December – 4th January (36 individual students) Student feedback Module evaluations Comments in person, emails The time spent in groups discussing what we know already has been useful to get other peoples perspectives and I found the crossword task very helpful and I'm hoping to use it as a study method in the future.

Jigsaw creation Choose a subject for your mindmap (e.g. factors influencing the student experience) Create the mindmap and take a photo / screenshot of it. Go to the jigsaw creation site https://www.jigsawplanet.com/ and select ‘create’ Upload the picture to the free jigsaw creator, give your jigsaw a title and select the number of pieces in your puzzle. Click ‘create’ and copy the URL address. Share this URL as a post on the Padlet area. Note: Using the embed link button on Padlet gives a preview of the completed jigsaw. To avoid this simply copy and paste the link as a comment under the padlet post title. Padlet available at: https://padlet.com/fiona_kennedy2/Active_Learning

Crossword creation Choose a subject for your crossword (e.g. learning and teaching strategies). Go to the crossword labs site https://crosswordlabs.com/ Give the crossword a title Create approx. 10 -15 clues and answers.; enter these into the box (answer first, then a space, then the clue. Create a password (for ease, make this the same as the title of the crossword), then click ‘generate’. Click ‘save’ and copy the URL Share this URL as a post on the Padlet area, remembering to give the others the passcode for the answer key.
