Priority Agenda (a) Achieve sustainable growth of the global economy Address risks and challenges of the global economy and be ready to respond effectively, as downturn risks appear to be on the rise and as trade tensions have started to have negative impact on the real economy. Regain confidence in the multilateral trading system. Provide strong political impetus for a better functioning WTO, attuned to the rapidly changing global trading environment, such as the explosive growth in e-commerce. Make efforts tackle persistent market-distorting trading practice (b) Address disparities towards realizing a more equitable and inclusive growth Women’s empowerment: promote efforts for improved labor participation by women, as well as measures to foster environments conducive to greater empowerment, including education and entrepreneurship.
