A Winner for the Third Year! Record Breaking Attendance at the 2019 GME SATELLITES Student Conference A Winner for the Third Year! Cale Jones, Grade 3 student St. Patrick’s Catholic School Third Place in K-5 level Over 200 Ohio and Michigan students (grades K-16) from 12 schools presented over 100 projects at the GLOBE Mission EARTH SATELLITES Student Conference at The University of Toledo on May 1, 2019. Dr. Kevin Czajkowski and Dean Charlene Gilbert (College of Arts & Letters) handed out the awards with trophies to students per grade level: K-5, 6-8, 9-12, including a Peer Choice Award. Research projects were related to the Earth’s environment, the GLOBE Program and NASA. We liked that we were able to do our own research and use others research/data from GLOBE. …We got to view scientific questions we had about the world and contribute to NASA.
