Adam, the Type of Christ Jesus Adam the first, and Adam the second/last (Christ Jesus) (and even Eve, the “mother of all living”, and the New Jersualem “the mother” of “all living” in Christ Jesus).  Adam ('the first') is specifically called “the figure of him that was to come”, Christ Jesus. Rom. 5:14  Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him (Jesus, the second/last Adam; 1 Cor. 15:45-47 KJB) that was to come.
