3rd grade: GA Habitats with Ozobots https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZ_PMFYQoEs Standard(s): S3L1. Obtain, evaluate, & communicate information about the similarities & differences between plants, animals, & habitats found within geographic regions (Blue Ridge Mtns., Piedmont, Coastal Plains, valley & Ridge, and Appalachian Plateau) of Georgia. EQ: Can you code an Ozobot to travel the Habitats of Georgia? Resources: STEM Bettes Materials: ozobots, ozocode sheets, markers, white paper, regions of GA map Lesson: Students will draw and label the regions of GA for Ozobot to navigate. Differentiation: Provide an Ipad Students can work independently Step by step instructions on the board Criteria: Write the regions of Georgia in your journal Draw an outline of the state of Georgia and label the regions Use at least one Ozocode in each region Ozobot should start at the Mountain region and follow your path to the Coastal Plain region Include cities, plants, trees, and animals you might see in each region
