Photography A-Level Summer Project Available to download at http://ravenswoodartanddesign.weebly.com Use this PowerPoint as a template to create a physical or digital sketchbook of your explorations in to photography over the summer holidays. You can personalise it in any way you want, however the use pre-made backgrounds, themes and word-art are banned. COPY AND PASTE IS STRONGLY PROHIBITED You will need to bring this project to your enrolment in September on a USB stick if digital. If you have any questions or concerns about this task, you should email rjs@rws.uk.net by Thursday 19th July at the latest so that we have time to respond to your query before we go on holiday.

Photographer 1: writing Annotation: writing about photographic art On this page, write about a photographer of your choice. Do some background research about their life and work and write specifically about one or two images. You should analyse the way the images looks and how it has been taken. It is important to try and establish whether or not you think the photographer is trying to communicate a particular message. Approx. 300 words

Photographer 1: image On this slide, present a photograph that you have taken that is a recreation of one of the photographs you wrote about on slide 3. This means, trying to take your own picture that is as close as possible to the original. HINTS: think about the lighting, colour/B&W, the subject matter and the composition.

Your own photography Over the next few slides, present a selection of your own photography. Include between 20-30 photographs (you can present multiple images on each slide – no more than 4) and choose your best 6 images to present as a full page slide at the end.
