A short Bible Reading YPD Form Prayers On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. (Matthew 2.11) A short Bible Reading

YPD Form Prayers A bit of unpacking… Many years ago, God sent his son to earth to tell people about God. God let some people know straight away – the Magi or the Wise Men, were looking for a sign from God, and they took a long journey from their country to meet Jesus. It was like God had whispered a big secret to them, and it led them to see Jesus first. As soon as they saw the baby Jesus, they knew he was special.

YPD Form Prayers A bit more unpacking… They were so honoured to see him, they knelt down in adoration, and loaded him up with presents. For many years, only a few people knew about Jesus and what he was going to do – every -one else was in the dark. God doesn’t always reveal his secret plans to everyone because we’re not always ready to hear what he has to say…

Prayer YPD Form Prayers Dear God, thank you for sending Jesus to tell us about you and to show us what you are like. Thanks too, for letting me be a part of your secret plans. Amen. Prayer

The Lord’s Prayer YPD Form Prayers Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen. The Lord’s Prayer

The Grace YPD Form Prayers Gras ein Harglwydd Iesu Grist, a chariad Duw, A chymdeithas yr Ysbryd Glân a fyddo gyda ni oll Byth bythoedd. Amen. The Grace The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ And the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us all, ever more. Amen.
