The Challenge To design and create a car that will roll down a track at the fastest possible speed. You only have $700 to purchase supplies to construct your car. at

The Initial Design

Materials Budget Item Cost per Item Number Purchased Total Cost Lifesaver Mints $75 4  $300  Straw $100 o  $0  Popsicle Stick $50  1  $50 Masking tape – 12”  $25 Notebook Card $25 $25  Paper Clips Total Spent  $450

Car 1 Test Results Time: Stopped Seconds:3.28 Distance: ----- Feet: 0 ft.

Improving our Design Our Goal: With our $200 we purchased: To make the wings shorter and the wheels not stick. With our $200 we purchased: We needed more and more and more tape and an extra wheel. (we brock ours.)

Car 2 Test Results Time Seconds: 3.28 Distance Feet: 10 ft.

Design Process Strength Making our car stick together and not fall apart. Future Goal Making the cars wigs shorter to fit in to the track.

Team Collaboration Strength We took turns getting materials from the shop. Future Goal Making sure we can both share materials and ideas.
