BRIEF SUMMARY 1st phase intercalibration – Mediterranean rivers PHYTOBENTHOS Intercalibration completed for 3 MS and 4 river types (but limited datasets) MACROINVERTEBRATES IC completed for 5 MS and 4 river types (but need to improve reference criteria and pressure types) MACROPHYTES Intercalibration was not done due to lack of official methods and data (need to discuss if this element can be used, namely if trophic-level oriented) FISH A preliminary comparison of national indices was made (need to improve reference criteria and pressure types)
