IT Career Description Visual artists who use computer Aided Design Software to make 3D blue prints and images. Photos can be scanned and applied as textures to create all types of lighting, animated figures, or drawings.

Interesting Facts About this IT Career Growing faster than the average increasing by 21 to 34% through The median annual salaries of Graphic Designers in 2000 was 34,570. In 2000 there were 492,000 Designers. 60% of all 3D Render Designer are self employed.

Skills Required for this IT Career Should have a assembled a successful portfolio. This requires skills usually developed in a post-high school training program in art, design, or visual communications. Internships also provide excellent opportunities to develop their portfolios. They need to master specialized computer software. They must constantly up grade their computer skills to match state-of-the-art technology. Renderers should be quick learners.

Education Required for this IT career Most graphic artists get a bachelors degree or other post-high school training in art or design. Many colleges, universities, and specialized art schools offer training and degree programs in fine arts. Those that complete a university degree in visual arts usually specialize in graphic, commercial arts, or photography.
