Course Overview Our emphasis is on developing lifelong readers because lifelong readers are lifelong learners Getting ready for the big picture – high school, college, beyond? Understanding the real-world importance of reading Major units of study: reading workshop, notice and note strategies in practice, nonfiction, essential question study Book of the Month with individualized reading goals tailored to each student
