SHOWCASES What is an end of course showcase? Who attends them and what sorts of things happen?

EQUITY Research the actor’s union ‘equity’ – what is it? What does it do for actor’s? How do you join?

AGENTS What is an acting agent? What do they do? What are the rules of having one and who are the best in the business? Add examples.

LIFE OF AN ACTOR What is it like to be a professional theatre actor? What sorts of hours or working conditions do they experience?

LIFE OF AN ACTOR What are the good things and what are the challenges about being a professional theatre actor? How do actors cope with these challenges? Can you find any videos with advice for actors to embed? What do you think are the best and worst things about this job?

CASE STUDY – BIO, TRAINING, ADVICE AND NOTABLE WORK Choose a well known theatre actor (could also do film acting but has to have done theatre work) to case study. Find out all about how they got into the profession, how and where they trained, how they became well known and what their famous works are. Finding interviews with your actor will be very useful, you can embed interviews and photos as part of your case study.
