IEEE 1900.7 White Space Radio Closing Report November 2005 doc.: IEEE 802.11-05/1051r0 20/08/2019 IEEE 1900.7 White Space Radio Closing Report Date: 2012-06-25; Grenoble, France Authors: Notice: This document has been prepared to assist IEEE DYSPAN SC. It is offered as a basis for discussion and is not binding on the contributing individual(s) or organization(s). The material in this document is subject to change in form and content after further study. The contributor(s) reserve(s) the right to add, amend or withdraw material contained herein. Release: The contributor grants a free, irrevocable license to the IEEE to incorporate material contained in this contribution, and any modifications thereof, in the creation of an IEEE Standards publication; to copyright in the IEEE’s name any IEEE Standards publication even though it may include portions of this contribution; and at the IEEE’s sole discretion to permit others to reproduce in whole or in part the resulting IEEE Standards publication. The contributor also acknowledges and accepts that this contribution may be made public by IEEE DYSPAN SC. Patent Policy and Procedures: The contributor is familiar with the IEEE Patent Policy and Procedures <http:// ieee802.org/guides/bylaws/sb-bylaws.pdf>, including the statement "IEEE standards may include the known use of patent(s), including patent applications, provided the IEEE receives assurance from the patent holder or applicant with respect to patents essential for compliance with both mandatory and optional portions of the standard." Early disclosure to the Working Group of patent information that might be relevant to the standard is essential to reduce the possibility for delays in the development process and increase the likelihood that the draft publication will be approved for publication. Please notify the Chair <harada@nict.go.jp> as early as possible, in written or electronic form, if patented technology (or technology under patent application) might be incorporated into a draft standard being developed within IEEE DYSPAN SC. If you have questions, contact the IEEE Patent Committee Administrator at <patcom@ieee.org>. Slide 1 Mujtaba (Agere), Petranovich (Conexant), Fischer (Broadcom), Stephens (Intel) et. al.

Meeting Results Selection of frequency bands 20/08/2019 Meeting Results Selection of frequency bands WG discussed target frequency bands for P1900.7 The decision is The IEEE 1900.7 WG selects TV white space frequency bands as a target frequency bands for the development of radio interface including medium access control sublayer(s) and physical layer(s) of white space dynamic spectrum access radio systems supporting fixed and mobile operation The term “white space” is understood as defined in IEEE Standard 1900.4a-2011 Slide 6

Meeting Results Selection of topology 20/08/2019 Meeting Results Selection of topology WG discussed possible topology for P1900.7 The decision is P1900.7 shall support point-to-multipoint topology P1900.7 may support relay stations P1900.7 may support terminal-to-terminal communication Slide 7

Meeting Results Selection of multiple access method and modulation 20/08/2019 Meeting Results Selection of multiple access method and modulation WG had first discussions on potential multiple access method and modulation for P1900.7 Filter Bank Multicarrier Modulation (FBMC) is proposed as a modulation having high spectral efficiency and low ACLR (with reasonable complexity as compared to OFDM) Discussion will continue on June 28 Slide 8
