Where is Egypt ? Egypt is located in North Africa , bordering the Mediterranean Sea, between Libya and the Gaza Strip, and the Red Sea north of Sudan, which is near the Asian Sinai Peninsula .

What is the climate like in Egypt ? The climate in Egypt is moderate throughout the year. The weather is hot in the summer but in the winter it is mild and dry. Egypt has rainfall for a few days in the year. In March and May it goes up to about 50c’s, this happens when the wind blows from south and carries dust particles which causes the temperature to raise to 38c in the desert!

What is the time zone in Egypt? In Cairo the capital of Egypt the standard time zone + 2 hours. The time zone abbreviation is EET which stands for Eastern European Time.

What is the population of Egypt? The population of Egypt on the 19th of January 2011 is approximately 77,156,667 !!

What is the currency in Egypt? The currency in Egypt is a pound, the Egyptian pound is divided into 100 piastres. Every banknote has two faces, one in Arabic and usually has pictures of a well known mosque in Egypt and the other face is in English and has pictures of ancient Egyptian figures, statues or generally monuments.
