Breaking CAPTCHAs using a generative vision model. Breaking CAPTCHAs using a generative vision model. Text-based CAPTCHAs exploit the data efficiency and generative aspects of human vision to create a challenging task for machines. By handling recognition and segmentation in a unified way, our model fundamentally breaks the defense of text-based CAPTCHAs. Shown are the parses by our model for a variety of CAPTCHAs .
