Week 1 MONDAY: What are the characteristics of a perfect friend? TUESDAY: What is your best quality? WEDNESDAY: If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? THURSDAY: Write about one important lesson you learned from your parents. FRIDAY: How do your beliefs affect your actions?

Week 2 MONDAY: Write about an object you value most. TUESDAY: Name one thing on your bucket list. (A "bucket list" item is something you would like to do or a place you would like to visit before you die.) WEDNESDAY: What is your favorite family tradition? THURSDAY: Describe something memorable you saw at the L.A. County Fair.

WEEK 3 MONDAY: Write about a time you lost something valuable. TUESDAY: Which would be a better pet, a dog or a cat? Write a persuasive paragraph to support your opinion. WEDNESDAY: Describe the highlight of your day. THURSDAY: What energizes you? FRIDAY: Write about an obstacle you faced this week.

WEEK 4 MONDAY: If you were given an opportunity to travel in a time machine, to which time period would you want to travel? TUESDAY: Describe the most beautiful thing, place, or person you have ever seen. WEDNESDAY: What is your biggest fear? THURSDAY: What do you want to be when you grow up? WEEK 8 MONDAY: Do teenagers spend too much time on social media? TUESDAY: Write about a time you had tears in your eyes. WEDNESDAY: Dr. Seuss once said, "Why fit in when you were born to stand out?" What does this quote mean to you? THURSDAY: Who are you? From where do you get your strongest sense of identity? FRIDAY: Would you rather have the ability to change the past or have the ability to see the future? MONDAY 10-15-18

WEEK 9 MONDAY: Is it ever okay to tell a "little white lie"? Explain. TUESDAY: Write the plot to your favorite movie. What do you like about this movie? WEDNESDAY: If you have a disagreement with a friend and it is clearly the other person's fault, should you take the first step toward reconciliation? THURSDAY: Charles Swindoll once said, "Life is ten percent what happens to you and ninety percent how you respond to it." What does this quote mean to you? FRIDAY: Write about a time you either felt bullied or felt like you bullied someone else.

WEEK 10 October 31: Write about a time you failed. Did it make you weaker or stronger? What did you learn? November 1: What is the difference between living and existing? November 2: Do you think it is easier to be a male or female in America? November 3: Someone once said, "The grass is always greener on the other side of the hill." What does this quote mean to you? November 4: If you were old enough to vote for president during this election, for whom would you vote? Why?

WEEK 11 November 7: What do you need in life in order to be content? November 8: Is it ever okay to cheat in school? Explain. November 9: Which do you find more attractive: a good personality or good looks? November 10: If you could change one thing about school, what would it be? November 11: Write about one of your biggest regrets.

WEEK 12 November 14: Do you judge a book by its cover? November 15: What do you think about when you are by yourself? November 16: Write about the last time you broke someone's heart or had your heart broken. November 17: What is the craziest thing you have ever done? Would you do it again? November 18: What are you most thankful for?

WEEK 13 November 28: Write about one highlight of your Thanksgiving Break. November 29: If you could give a 30 second speech to the world, what would you say? Explain. November 30: What can you do today that you couldn't do a year ago? December 1: Write about one thing people misunderstand about you. December 2: Walt Whitman once said, "Keep your face always toward the sunshine -- and shadows will fall behind you." What does this quote mean to you?

WEEK 14 MONDAY: Write about someone or something that currently needs prayer. TUESDAY: What is the hardest part about being a teenager? WEDNESDAY: Lao Tzu once said, "Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage." What does this quote mean to you? THURSDAY: Reflect upon this week, and write about a moment that made you smile.
