The number 1 issue is not having well defined organizational processes Not having well defined organizational processes was ranked as the number 1 issue, but the other issues were not too far behind. The one issue that does not seem to be a problem is having insufficient technology. The average rank score was calculated by using the following technique: A rank of 1 was assigned 8 points; A rank of 2 was assigned 7 points; …; A rank of 8 was assigned 1 point. Impact on decision to implement a BPM strategy The activities that had the highest correlation were those who wanted to improve quality of process outputs as well as improve customer satisfaction. Similarly, improving compliance with applicable regulations was highly correlated with improving process measurability and increasing the quantity of process outputs.
