Presentation transcript:

Bell Ringer- September 12 You are about to begin working on a very important investigation. You make sure that you have all the necessary pieces of equipment and your samples in order to begin your research. It is imperative that everything you use is completely sterile as contamination can alter your results. After you have followed all precautionary measures you begin with your lab experiment. You work for several hours and are not completely done with your experiment, however you do have dirty glassware. You need to make sure that glassware is ready to be used the following day. So you ______________________ your equipment and place your samples in the laboratory refrigerator. After several days of working on your experiment you have finally finished and are ready to analyze your results. Before you analyze you must also _____________________ laboratory waste as well as dirty equipment. Explain what should be done before and after you finish with your experiment in order to ensure the destruction of potential infectious agents. What does this do to the agent, how is it beneficial?
