My Career Goals I want to become a movie director by 2029. To get there, I will need to: Graduate high school by June, 2020 The major things I need to do Writing scenario Be creative Learning filming

My Career Goal Statement First, I will complete all requirements which university requires and graduate the Riv erside secondary school, and get a score 6.5~7 for an IELTS. And then, get into UBC university major in film production. I will go to the university for 2 years and transfer to Korean university which is famo us for movie directing. After graduate school, I want to experience lots of thing from the beginning at a wo rkplace. When I’m ready to direct my movie, I will make a movie based on my experiences, .

What is a movie director? A movie director is a person who directs the making of a film. A movie director controls a film’s artistic and dramatic aspects and visualizes the script while guiding the technical crew and actors. List 3-5 things you would be doing regularly at this job I watch movies a lot to get some idea from those. I write a review after finish movies every time. I keep trying to write a scenario when I’m inspired .

About my future career Where is this job done? (In an office? From home? At a specific site? In a school? Etc.) - The place where is suitable for a movie’s setting. What is the salary range in BC for this job? - According to the internet, average film/TV producer salary is $58,328 per year. What are the usual hours for this job? –> How many hours per week? What are the sta rt and end times within a day? -It all depends on the type of film and how much experience the director has.

My job has a 2.2% chance of becoming automated Give 2 reasons why you think your job will/won’t (depending on the %) becom e automated 1. Creativity is important in movies. 2. Movies which gain empathy from audiences well have become famous.

My compatibility I am 88% compatible with this job. The skills this job requires are: Creativity is essential for developing new and exciting ways to interpret scripts. Critical thinking skills help filmmakers identify problems and weaknesses, and figure out effective ways to fix them.

Movie director would be great for me because… I already have these skills for this career: I took acting course for experiencing as an actress. I’ve been watching lots of movies and write review those movies so that I can do critical thinking about movies.

I am not quite ready for this career, but I will get there! These are skills for the job I still need to learn: This is how I will get those necessary skills: -I don’t really know about technical I have to get into the university and lear n from the basic of movie's technology. things. But, Movie director has to decide s hots and know how to edit what was capt ured during production.

Job Outlook In BC, the job outlook is ( ) of 3 stars. Here are 2 reasons why: There’s no any data on job outlook for a film director wor king near Vancouver, BC. So, I couldn’t get the answer.

Safety in the Workplace In this career, I need to: Make sure all staffs and actors be safe in the workplace. There are such a lot of filmi ng equipment, so keep those organized not to fall off.

This is what appeals to me with this career… Movies make people feel relieved from their insipid daily life. And also by watching a movie, people get the energy to live or not to give up the dream. I feel happy whe n I watch movies, so I want to make people feel what I feel.

These are some things I find less appealing about this career… Movie director has lots of roles while they are making a movie. Movie director has t o lead all staffs and actors to make what movie director has expected.

Potential obstacles to getting this career The possible obstacles: My plan to overcome them: -It is really difficult to be famous as a mo vie that movie director made. - To make a movie which can be famous, i t has to be creative movie and has to hav e a story which is an uncommon theme. s o that people are attracted. There are huge amount of movies, so it is hard to earn money by making a movie.

Potential obstacles to being successful within this career The possible obstacles: My plan to overcome them: -It could take long time to be a movie director. Because create something is really difficult thing and also to be a famous movie is even more difficult. - I have to spend time writing a scenario to make a movie which makes people feel happy and give them a hope.
