Design is the foundation for Invention/Creation. Design requires critical thinking skills, empathy, insight, and innovation. Design gives meaning and purpose to otherwise lifeless objects. Bloom s Taxonomy Creation is the highest level of thinking!

This student decided to design an all- inclusive object, having all three included in one.

Cross curricular based class that incorporates both math and reading. Provides the students with a practical application of what they have learned or are learning in other subject areas. Students apply prior knowledge along with new information to design and create floor plans for specific design criteria.

Students create their own company Projects start with the students creating a Design Brief including all required items. The Design Briefs are then redistributed to different students. The objective of the project is to meet the requirements of the companys owner.

Students Design and Create their own designs onto various forms of textiles Students also collaborate with Mr. Hasslers Economics class in a cross curricular activity, marketing and selling class T-Shirts

TSA is an international club promoting knowledge and leadership in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math We are in our third Highlands H. S. Compete in different areas of Technology against other high school students

Over the past several years, we have been lucky enough to have been awarded several grants which helped to pay for equipment which allow us to further advance student achievement.
