Energy at Earth’s Surface Absorb = energy from light strikes atoms and causes them to vibrate. The more an object's molecules move and vibrate, the hotter it becomes. Reflect = light energy is NOT absorbed and instead bounces off the object Radiate = light energy is absorbed by atoms and sent back out as heat
