Workshop Invitation, Friday August 26th, at DMS 105, 12noon – 3pm http://capacity.unr.edu NSF CyberCorps(R): "Collaborative Research: Capacity Building in Cybersecurity-Literacy: An Inter-Disciplinary Approach” Workshop Invitation, Friday August 26th, at DMS 105, 12noon – 3pm Please join us in our NSF Capacity Building Workshop, held at University of Nevada, Reno on August, 26th, 2016. The NSF-funded “Collaborative Research: Capacity Building in Cybersecurity-Literacy: An Inter-Disciplinary Approach” program is an institutional collaboration between UNR and TMCC and an interdisciplinary Cybersecurity project with Computer Science & Engineering, Information Systems, Political Science, Grant Sawyer Center for Justice Studies and College of Education under the umbrella of the UNR Cybersecurity Center. The UNR Cybersecurity Center is exploring unique ways to engage in the interdisciplinary aspects in cybersecurity education and research areas that are of “high state and national priority” and to sustain long-term research and education partnerships between academia and industry partners.   Your participation in this workshop will not only support faculty participants' efforts, but will also provide an opportunity to understand the benefits of interdisciplinary cybersecurity and its importance in cybersecurity education; why it is a “high state and national priority” research area; to observe the impact of cyberattacks and cyberdefense; and to learn what resources are available campus-wide and nationally. Due to limited space, please RSVP to ssengupta@unr.edu by August 24th if you plan to attend. Lunch will be provided. For more information, please visit: http://csint.unr.edu/ or contact Dr. Shamik Sengupta (ssengupta@unr.edu) UNR Campus Map: http://www.unr.edu/Documents/unr/maps/map_vertical.pdf
