HEADTEACHER’S NOTES WHAT’S ON AT SJB? SIR JOHN BARROW SCHOOL WEEKLY SNIPPETS HEADTEACHER’S NOTES WHAT’S ON AT SJB? Friday 2nd November 2018 Dear Parent Carers I hope you all had an enjoyable half term holiday. We have had an exciting first week back. On Tuesday Louise Renicks, Judo Gold Medalist, visited school. The children got to see her Gold Medal, joined in challenging work out sessions and heard her inspiring story. Today we welcomed Cumbria’s Police and Crime Commissioner. He visited SJB to promote National Anti-Bullying Week which is in a few weeks time, 12-16th November. He had a tour of the school, chatted to the children and participated in our ‘Staying Safe’ assembly. The drama group performed a mime and the mini police sergeants shared poetry to promote anti-bullying and reinforce important ‘Stay Safe’ messages. Thanks to PTA and staff hosting tonight’s school disco. The children always love these events.
