Soil Problems , Management, and strategies to ensure food security

Soil Problems Soil degradation can occur as a result of erosion, waterlogging, salinisation and structural deterioration. Soil is a finite resource as it takes a long time to form. Agricultural productivity has a direct relationship to soil quality. Any loss or degradation of soil is therefore a key issue for human survival.

Task In groups of 4 you will each be learning about one of these soil problems. You will have 10 minutes to ensure that you UNDERSTAND the causes, impacts and solutions to your ‘soil problems’ You will then teach the other three in your group. HOWEVER - you cannot have any notes in front of you whilst you teach, and only 6 symbols / diagrams. This means you will need to LEARN it, not just Regurgitate it. You will then be answering questions about them.
